Almost Home For R & R

I was looking at my donut of misery and noticed I am 53% done and 47% to go. Then I am home for my two weeks of R & R. I can't wait either. This deployement sucks. I miss my family so much, mainly my daughter. Every time I get her on the phone she keeps saying DADA. I know she is almost 9 months old and she could just be saying that because it is easy. But, I like to think she is calling out to me. My wife and mother both have said she only says it when I am on the phone with her or when they show her pictures of me. Well I must go before I make my self depressed.

Very Tired

Yes I mean it. I am very tired. What do you expect, I got off of work last night at 9pm and came back in at 5am this morning. That means I only got about four hours of sleep. I have already downed four cups of coffee. I am on my 5th cup now. Good thing is I get off at 5pm. I am going to get a haircut then straight to bed. I deserve it. With all the hours I am pulling on top of my airport missions, I am wore out. Man is the military ever an energy drainer or what?

Quebecor World

Now it is time for me to talk about my other family, Quebecor World. This is the factory I have worked in for the past year. I actually must say that compared to this, QW is holy. I miss a few of my fellow employees and then I don't miss a few more. I really miss Richard and Theresa. These two were awesome to work with. Jerome you too man. Robert, I miss working with him. My supervisor Tony is the best to work for. There is really only one person I trully despise at work, and that is DONNIE. I wish so bad I could meet the fat bastard alone one day and just tear into him. I shouldn't talk like that but he made my life hell while I was on 710 with him. If it wasn't for him I probably would have stayed on 710. Oh well I have it better on 711. I hate to cut it short but I must go for now. I have alot of work that needs to be done.

Well Well Well

How is everyone this fine day. Me, I am freezing my butt off. Yes it is cold in the desert. I recieced a package from someone I never would have thought would send me something. My aunt and uncle from Greenville, SC actually sent me some things. I thought it was too cool for them to do it. The reason I am so surprised is because I hardley ever see them and I am not really close to either of them. I want to be though. I want to be close to all my family. The only problem is we are all so spread out. I wish we all lived closer. Of course my bieng in Kuwait makes it harder. But the support my family has shown towards me so far is awesome. I mean I can't believe how much my family backs me up. This is why I am proud to have Zissett blood running in my veins.

Speaking of Zissett's, there is one in peticular I have been thinking and dreaming about lately. My grandmother Mammy. I realize how much I miss her. It has been over three four years since her death, but I find myself torn up more about it now than ever. I guess being over here with noone to really talk to has me thinking alot. I was really close to her. I hope and pray that she is proud of me. I think, no I know, she is proud of me. I hope I am making my whole family proud. I am really proud of all of them, and I hope they all know that.

Well enough of the sentimental stuff. These new hours here are killing me. I wake up with 5 hours earlier than I need too and then when I get off of work I am too tired to do anything. Oh well, it is only for two weeks. Softball is going well, we won our first game due to a forfit day before yeasterday. Well I must be going but I hope all is well with everyone.

To Long To Be Gone

I am sorry I haven't been blogging for the name fits. It has been to long since my last blog. I am trying but finding time to do the things I want to do are getting harder and harder.

I think it is time for me to whine. Because of one of our armorers going home for his two weeks, we have a new work schedule. Instead of working from 11am - 7pm mon-fri, and 7am - 7pm sat, with sunday off. I know work 1pm - 9pm tues, wed, fri, and sun, from 5pm - 5 am thur, and 5am - 5pm sat, I know get mondays off. Thank god it is only for two weeks. There is noway I could work like that all year long.

There are some pictures up again on flickr. I am only in one of them. The fuzzy one. Dusty Dozen. I am on the bottom row in a white t-shirt with black hat. Here is the link for ya. http://flickr.com/photos/43569127@N00/

Well I must get back to work.

What A Day, What A Day

Hello everyone. And how the heck are ya? Me, I'm cool, would rather be asleep though. Today is a fun day, after work I have softball practice. From there I am off to the Kuwaiti International Airport to escort soldiers. I will not arrive back from there until one in the morning. That is going to suck because I have to be at work at seven a.m. tommorrow. Tommorrow is a twelve hour day for me. But luckily Sunday is my day off. Then Monday and Tuesday I have softball games back to back. Oh what a week it is going to be.

P.S. To let you know, I changed the name of the site to my real name. Too many people were getting confused, but I am going to leave the url alone for now. Also, I would rather be called either Dennis or Denn Denn. Yes I know my family will wonder why after I said I hated Denn Denn all my life.

Have Not Been Blogging

I am so sorry I have not been blogging recently. The internet here lately has been acting real funny. I try to not make it a habbit of not blogging, but finding the time to blog has also been a challenge as of late. I hope everyone is well. I am doing pretty good.

I was sent out on a mission last night. We had to escort fifteen soldiers to the airport. I was chosen to be a shooter. It was neat to finally get off the post. This country is very weird. We get to the airport and me and the other shooter go inside the airport to look around (no we didn't take our weapons inside and we were in civilian clothes), and I notice that they smoke inside their airport. Also, it really stunk there. I don't know what the smell was, but I do know that it was awful.

Anyways, we didn't get back in till one a.m. (which was horrible). From there I turned in my weapon and went straight to bed. Yes fully clothed, I was to tired to worry about showering and changing. Did all that this morning. Other than that not much is going on. I do know that I have to do that same detail again tonight.

SONG OF THE DAY: Iron Man (Black Sabbath)

P.S. I meant to tell you, in Kuwait a large hot choclate costs 2.550 KD, which came out to EIGHT FIFTY AMERICAN. I could not believe it, and this was at a Starbucks Coffe Shop.

A Picture of Me

A picture is up of me on flickr. Until I figure out how to post on blog anyway. This is the only picture I could save. When my friend suprised me with the pic he dropped my camera and broke it. This is the only one that came out and it is bad. Do not laugh, I am not that ugly. I am a little cuter. Not much but a little.

SONG OF THE DAY: A Man Of Constant Sorrow (Saggy Bottom Boys)

P.S. I do not know why but the camera made me look fat. I only weigh 156 lbs. Oh well. I wasn't ready for this picture. I think I was leaning backwards or something.

Man oh man

I am so bored right now. I get off in thirty minutes because I have softball practice. The actual season starts Monday. Oh and about my song of the day choices, you have to understand I am working with old material. We don't get many new cd's. It takes awhile before we get new ones in.

SONG OF THE DAY: The Beautiful People {(Marilyn Manson) Sorry I am stuck on this Marilyn Manson collection I picked up.}

Tattoo's

Man oh man have I ever fell in love with tattoo's. So far I only have two but they didn't hurt so I want more. I have my daughters name over my heart, and my wife's name on my left arm. I got my daughters on Sept. 3 and my wife's on Sept. 4 of this year. Don't worry they are proffesionlay done. I got them done at Bill Claydon's Tattoo World. He is considered number 4 on the Top Ten list of Tattoo artists. So when I get back from this trip I want to go back to him and get one at Fr. Bragg, NC. So does anyone have any ideas of a great tattoo? If so comment and let me know what you think.

SONG OF THE DAY: Tainted Love (Marilyn Manson)

MOVIE OF THE WEEK: Around The World In 80 Days (I thought it was funny)

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: "Loosing your mind, Loosing your mind, It's blurring, It's fading, Your souls on fire, Its Black and White." (Static-X)

BOOK OF THE WEEK: Fatal Tide (Iris Johansen)

Ideas?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of things I could do with my wife and daughter (who will be one when I go home) while on my two week rest and recuperation. I so spelled that word wrong. Oh well. Any ideas you have I would love to hear them. I am thinking of a cabin retreat at Gatlinburg, but that is only for three days. Plus my daughters one year birthday party. So I have about ten days I don't know what to do with.

The New Template

I hope everyone likes my new template. And thank you wyllow for making this possible. I am really liking this one alot better. I may have to come to you more often for these types of things.
