Books

I have to write about this subject. Books are by far my most enjoyable thing. Reading is the greatest. Where else can you put yourself in the story. You can't do that with movies or television. Also, when you have a movie adapted from a book, they tend to cut out alot of things. Now I have mentioned on my profile that I enjoy Stephen King and Dean Koontz material. Christine is a great example of movie adaption. If you do not know what I am talking about pick up Christine the book by Stephen King. Then watch the movie by John Carpenter. Total difference. Same plot though. Speaking of authors I found a new novelist that writes to my liking. Dan Brown is the man of the hour. His book The Da Vincci code is be adapted for movie starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. If you are into religion like pagan, wicca, christian, Opeus Dei, and of course Vatican then you need to pick this up. The priory of sion says too. To bad Dan Brown only has four books out right now. I will be picking the other three up this weekend. Well I have to go for now.

P.S. I was wanting to let you know that Peter Straub's Ghost Story book is also a very good read.

Living With Creetins

Man oh man am I ever getting tired of living with some people. The attitude's some of these guys have is unreal. I know we are miles upon miles from home, but man, calm it down a little. You say one word to some of these people and they look like they are about to bite your head off. Oh well, my roomate is cool. He just lies in his little area and either sleeps or plays on his laptop. I either play plastation2, read, or watch tv. Well other than that not much has been going on.

BOOK OF THE WEEK: The Da Vinci Code {(Dan Brown) now this is a really good read.}

The food here was actually pretty good. Now I just have Christmas food to endure next. My first holidays away from home. Damn, do I ever hate it. Well I hate to end it so short, but nothing exciting going on.

Yeah It's Me Again

Hello everyone!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful time doing whatever it is you do. I am doing ok.

Well the day before yeasterday marked the beginning of the pre-season softball tournament. We have two teams in this tourney. Team A played that day winning 27 - 12. The team I am on played last night. Of course we lost 18 - 1. It was horrible. Our fielding stunk, and nobody seemed to be able to bat. Both times I was up to bat I was walked. I have to say over all though, my fielding was good. I start first base, and I only dropped one ball. I wouldn't have dropped it if it wasn't so low. Oh well, it's my fault I didn't catch it.

Our first regular season game is December 1, and I hope we play alot better. Well I must go for now but not forever. Until then Billy Static says bye bye.

Hello Everyone

Hello everyone, and how are ya'll today. Me I am great. I just got back about an hour ago from getting the key to my room. The room is small for two people but it is better than the tent. I am really looking forward to it. I will start moving some of my stuff in about two hours. I will move the rest in when I get off.

Also, tommorrow is my day off. Now I am really looking forward to that. I am just going to relax by the pool. Swim a little bit here and there. Also, tommorrow night we start pre-season softball games. I don't know if we are playing tommorrow. I sure hope so because softball helps the time go by fast here.

Another benefit of the move into the two man room is, WE FINALLY GET CABLE. I miss cable so much. I get pretty sick of watching the same movies over and over again. Plus finding a movie to watch from someone gets pretty hard. Now Angel is a show I can watch over and over again. I have the first three seasons on DVD. I can't wait for season four to come out later this month. To bad the show only lasted for five seasons. I thought it was an awesome show.

Me Just Talking

Hello everyone. How are ya doing. I am doing wonderful. Softball is going great, we start the season next week. Starting Sunday is a pre-season tournament. I personally do not see my team doing worth anything. Oh well, I am just out there for fun.

I played in a no limit texas hold'em tournament yeasterday. I did not fare well. I was the first one put out. It was so embarrasing, so I just sat at my table until at least five other people stood up and left.

I am so glad I got my blog back up and running. It was pittiful not being able to write to my adoring fans (that last part was a joke). I have found that I can't wait to get back to work so I can update my blogs. I just wish I knew how to get a cooler template. Also, I need to download my webcam onto this computer so I can take a picture of myself and put it on the blog.

Well I move into the two man room tommorrow. My roommate is cool. So this time I will not have problems like I did with the people I was living with in the first tent. The rooms aren't huge but they are a decent size for two people. Also, we have cable. I miss cable so much, I am so glad they are giving it to us for free.

Well it has been fun but I must go for now. I will give you my movie of the week on Thursday. That does not mean I will not be writting till then. I will write to you all everyday from now on. Unitl next time though, this is Billy Static saying take control of your life and find something meaningful in it.

Softball Update

Well we had softball practice today and it did not go very well. Both teams played head to head, and noone on my team can play worth a crap. I mean I know I am not that good, but goodness. We were awful. Only a select few of use did well. Oh well, they cancelled the tournament, so from now on we are just going to play around. We will start choosing teams so it will be a little more fair. I am so glad they are doing it that way too. Well I have to go, but remember this is Billy Static saying "Life is to short. Get out and have some fun".

Nothing To Tell

I am sorry for not writting these past couple of days, but there isn't much to tell. The past couple of days have been quite and really boring. When something happens I will gladly post it. Until then this is Billy Static saying, "I say hail to the country that has heroes, and I say pity to the ones that need them".

Another Update

Well, I found out today that I am on the fun team. I am glad too. I don't really want to be competative. I just want to have fun and do this so the time will go by faster here. My positions are any outfield position or first base. For the tournament on Sunday I am playing right field.

The tent I moved into a few days ago is so much better. When they leave in the morning they don't make too much noise. Also, I can trust these soldiers a heck of alot more than I could the other ones. Well, other than that there isn't much to tell. So until next time this is Billy Static saying take care of the home front for me.
